Age & Minor Protection Policy

1. Strict 18+ Platform Invariant

AnimeArena.live is strictly an 18-and-older platform. Access to our services, account registration, Star purchasing, and voting participation are strictly prohibited to individuals under eighteen (18) years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction).

We do not market to children, do not knowingly permit minors to register, and do not design platform features for children.

2. Statutory Compliance Framework

Our age restriction policies are governed by three primary international statutory regimes:

• India Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA § 9): DPDPA Section 9 strictly restricts the processing of personal data of any individual below the age of 18 without verifiable parental consent, and absolutely prohibits tracking or targeted advertising directed at minors. Because our platform does not maintain a parental verification mechanism, minors are strictly excluded from registration.
• United States Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): We do not collect or solicit personal information from any child under 13, and voluntarily extend our hard restriction to all minors under 18.
• European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR Article 8): We enforce a universal 18+ standard that exceeds the highest member state age of digital consent (16) across the European Economic Area.

3. Age Affirmation at Registration

During the registration workflow, all users are presented with an explicit age affirmation checkbox requiring verification that the registrant is at least 18 years of age. Falsifying birth dates or misrepresenting age during registration constitutes a material breach of our Terms of Service and grounds for immediate termination.

4. Minor Account Discovery & Remediation Workflow

If we receive notice or have reason to believe that an account is registered to or operated by an individual under 18 years of age, our trust and safety team executes the following mandatory protocol:

1. The account is immediately locked to prevent further logins, votes, or purchases.
2. All personal data associated with the account is purged from active databases pursuant to our deletion protocols.
3. Any unspent Star balance acquired via verified minor purchase is cancelled or refunded to the original purchasing instrument upon request by a verified parent or legal guardian.
4. The account email and identifiers are placed on a suppression blocklist to prevent re-registration.
